I personally think that this is a hard one because a lot of people that don’t have kids or grandkids don’t want to go to all of the trouble of putting out decorations but I believe there’s a way to find a happy medium.
I always like to see a couple of pieces when you enter someone’s house. I feel like it sets the tone when you enter.
Most people put their Christmas tree in their living room as well as stockings. So I feel that’s pretty much covered unless you’d like Garland on your mantle.
I also like to trade out any candles with red, green, or gold candles throughout the house.
I personally don’t change out throw pillows for Christmas or holiday pillows but there’s always that option.
In the dining room create a beautiful Christmas centerpiece. If you do choose to do this I suggest using the same color scheme as your Christmas tree to create a cohesive look.
As you move into the kitchen I like to get a little bit more relaxed. This is where I like to put any Christmas card holders and advent calendars.
Last but not least your powder room. I like to change out our guest towels with the holiday pattern. Nest candles are my favorite and every year they come out with the holiday candle. I like to put it in this room.
I hope this is helped to get your creative juices flowing. I hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas.
