My husband and I have been together for seven years and we’ve been to a lot of friends homes that have kids. When we found out that we were having a baby we already knew where the other one stood on most kid topics!
I was so opposed to having baby / child gear in common areas of the house. Unless it’s stuff like a high chair, bassinet or bouncer. Otherwise, our daughter has a bedroom and a playroom, everything can be in one of those two locations. However, for the furniture/items that do you stay out I wanted them to go with our decor so they don’t clash. I really had a hard time when we would go to a friends and their living room was cluttered with bright plastic toys! It drives me crazy!!
For the high chair I went with a Bloom Fresco. Mainly because of the bucket seat which can be used from birth and I loved that you can customize the seat color! I really wanted the yellow but my husband wanted blue (we got blue). I think he wanted blue because our dishes are blue but who knows.
I absolutely love this high chair! It has a harness so I feel completely safe that she’s going she’s not going anywhere, there aren’t any seams so it’s super easy to clean! It grows with baby from birth to 3 to 4 years old. If I’m using it that long I feel like I can justify the price tag.
We went with the Cambria cosleeper for our living room. I love that this bassinet came in the same color palette as our living room. So it didn’t look so out of place. This was not an item that we picked out. It was recommended to us by our night nurse and our daughter loves it. !e just picked out the color!
Fisher-Price Bouncer this bouncer comes in several different color palette/animals. I encourage you to find one that goes with your Decor. We have three of these bouncers and my daughter loves them. In the early months we didn’t know that she had acid reflux and this bouncer was the only way we could get her to stop screaming and go to sleep.
