This one was really hard for me especially because I truly LOVE Apple. However, I have a very nice watch and I really did NOT want an apple watch. Then fast forward to being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and it didn’t go away. Now I’m pre-diabetic. My endocrinologist said that I needed to be more active. Let me tell you in my mind I’m pretty active! Taking care of a baby all day is ACTIVE! So now I’m wearing the apple watch so that she can see my reports.
I really do love all of the apps that I use to watch how many carbs I’m eating a day, watch what I’ve burned, etc. but now I really don’t want to go on medication. I’m right on the line … My doctor told me that I can control my diabetes with exercise and my diet. I’ve been following the Keto diet for about 2.5 years now and love it but I do the clean eating version not the hamburgers and bacon version!
If you’re looking into Keto this is my absolute favorite cookbook! Southern Keto and it’s a hit with all of my non keto family members. This is especially great for the upcoming holiday season. There’s cornbread, biscuits, stuffing, mashed potatoes, faux mac and cheese. It’s delicious!!
I wanted to also share these bands for the apple watch. They don’t look so great in the picture but in person they really look like my Rolex band. These rubber ones are also great for just everyday wear. Sometimes I get worried that I’m going to scrape Kricket’s head on the clasp of my watch, so I prefer to wear the rubber bands during the day with her.
Did you have gestational diabetes when you were pregnant? Did it go away?
