Welcome to April’s Cookbook Club! This month the pick is Simply Keto by Suzanne Ryan. Every month I try / test /research different cookbooks to find my next pick. I discovered Suzanne Ryan’s Blog Keto Karma when I was trying to find a cheesecake recipe for my birthday. Not only was her recipe delicious but it was very easy to follow. I’ve been trying out recipes from her cookbook and everything is DELICIOUS! I’m so excited about this months pick!
So how does the book club work you might ask? Each month I will pick out a new cookbook that is gluten-free, low-carb/keto and sugar free. For those of you that don’t know I have celiac disease and diabetes. I‘be been able to manage my diabetes with the keto diet and not have to go on medication!
Each month I pick out a different cookbook and we will cook our meals directly from that book. On Friday’s I will post the next week’s meal plan and I will email the grocery shopping list.
I am not a nutritionist and I am not a doctor but I will share with you what I am eating and what I make for my family. This is what has worked for me. I constantly hear people say that they want to do keto but they don’t know what to eat so I’m going to take all the guesswork out for you.
I do a weekly cooking show on Instagram live on Thursdays at 11 AM CST. During this cooking segment we’ll make something that’s a gluten free/low carb staple in my kitchen and we’ll also go over next weeks meal plan! It’s a fun time and typically lasts 30 minutes.
