I’m up and down all day with Kricket and if we’re running errands I want to be in something a little nicer than shorts. Also, Texas heat is BRUTAL! I can stand having clothes stick to me or even touch me when I’m hot.
This skirt is nice and breezy but the key here is the bodysuit. It doesn’t bunch up like a t-shirt or a tank. So it keeps a more polished look. I’ve been wearing the Abercrombie and Fitch Scuba bodysuit and love them. The material is very thick but breathable.
We’ve been down in the Gulf of Mexico for the past two weeks where it’s incredibly muggy and sweat doesn’t show through the bodysuit which I love even more.
The bodysuit runs true to size but if you’re getting it in white I’d size up. When I bought there white sweater bodysuit in the winter it was a little see through. I bought the XXS in the sweater (the XXS fit perfectly remember I’m short! 4’ 11”) and did the XS in the tank. It’s a little long on me but it’s not see through!
I’ve also become obsessed with crossbody bags instead of totes while carrying Kricket. So much easier. I bought a new brown and black purse for the summer and this is the brown one I’ve been using and love. You can also use it without the strap.
Here’s a little tip that I’ve been doing. Belts are always so big on me and I hate when the end dangles so I’ve been putting these Velcro dots on my belt to hold the end in place. They peel right off at the end of the day and don’t leave a sticky residue!
What are your favorite summer items right now?
