I used all of the same ingredients but the one thing that I changed was she cooks them on the grill In the book and I was in a lazy kinda mood and didn’t feel like pulling the grill out! Also, Chicken is one of those foods that really scares me because if you don’t cook it just right you can get severely sick!
I’m very comfortable cooking them in the oven. I know what temperature to use so that I’m able to get the skin nice and crispy and have the perfect internal temperature, etc. So that’s how I cooked these! If you feel like your chicken is still pretty cold/frozen or hasn’t completely thawed cook chicken for one hour. Always check your chickens internal temperature before eating. The temperature should be above 165 degrees. I prefer using a digital thermometer like this one.
I put the wings spaced out on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and cooked them at 400 degrees and baked them for 40 minutes, I do not flip! This is how I do all chicken. I’ve tried them in the air fryer and shockingly I like this method so much more. David came up with this during Covid lockdown and we’ve tried it with olive oil and avocado oil. Avocado oil is the way to go and the chicken comes out nice and crispy but the meat is so juicy. This is the avocado oil that I use.
This recipe does take a bit of time so while I highly recommend it I do not recommend it for an easy weeknight meal.
