My experience with chicken flavors …

First thing’s first you need to get chicken thighs not chicken breasts for this recipe. I think chicken thighs have so much more juicy flavors but that’s just me. I buy the bone in chicken thighs from Sam’s. They’re antibiotic free, hormone free, grass fed, etc. I can get one of the big packages for under $6.00. If you get the boneless chicken thighs but that’s closer to $20.00. So take your pick. My personal favorite flavors for seasoning chicken are avocado oil, pink Hymilayan sea salt with fresh ground black pepper and of course Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning! When we season the chicken with the ranch seasoning I do coat the chicken thigh in avocado oil as well before adding the ranch seasoning. I don’t know what it is but the avocado oil adds so many flavors to the chicken. It really does make the meat taste like we soaked it in butter before we cooked it.

David is the griller in our family and while it’s delicious on the grill he also came up with how to cook it in the oven …

How to season chicken and cook:

Pour a generous amount of avocado oil on each chicken thigh. Sprinkle the top of the chicken thigh with the garlic and herb seasoning, next rub it al all over the chicken.

Place the chicken thighs on a greased baking sheet and cook in the oven for 40 minutes at 400 degrees. Do not flip! The chicken’s skin will be nice and crispy! Try using avocado oil instead of olive oil, it makes the thigh meat taste like it’s been marinated in butter, so good!

Best Chicken Seasoning
This is hands down my favorite way of cooking and eating chicken thighs. I’ve also tried the same method in the air fryer. Stick to the oven.
